Join Seattle Uncorked Wine Club

For a wide variety of events, join Seattle Uncorked! This new social club is for wine enthusiasts to meet new friends & network with others who love wine! Unlike most “wine clubs” whose real purpose is to sell wine, Seattle Uncorked is simply a resource to learn about fun tasting events, classes, blogs, and local wine stores and wine bars.

This new wine club offers a wide variety of fun, spontaneous events, large and small. Members will receive a membership card, frequent emails with notices of events, and occasional discounts from area stores, wine bars, wineries, and events. While most of our events are private for businesses, chairties, and trade organizations, Wine Events & Promotions produces the following annual events open to the public in Seattle:

Thurs. Aug 11 - Tasting Flight

Woodland Park Zoo

6pm - 9pm

Tickets $20 at www.zoo.org

or $25 at the door

Uncork some of the Northwest’s finest boutique wines at Woodland Park Zoo’s Tasting Flight after-hours, adults-only wine event. Head to the zoo’s picturesque North Meadow and create your own flight of tastings from the more than 30 Northwest wineries on site. Winemakers will be on hand to answer questions and give tips to make the most of your tasting experiences.

Additional tastings, full bottles of your favorite selections, and concessions from Lancer Catering will also be available for purchase at the event. The evening includes live music, “Get Real Close” animal encounters, and an opportunity to take in the zoo’s award-winning Northern Trail and Humboldt penguin exhibits.

As part of Woodland Park Zoo’s commitment to sustainable practices including waste reduction, this is a Bring Your Own Glass event (rental glasses available for $5 at the event).

All proceeds of this event go to support the Woodland Park Zoo famed for pioneering naturalistic exhibits and setting international standards for zoos in animal care, conservation and education. For more information visit www.zoo.org.

Tickets ar $20 in advance, $25 at the door.  Purchase advance tickets at www.zoo.org/wine.  Tasting Flight at Woodland Park Zoo is for adults 21 and over only—valid ID is required for entry.

Come join the fun on Friday, August 19th when one of Seattle's most anticipated and unique events of the summer takes place – the 16th annual Sunset Supper at the Market! Experience the transformation of the vendor stalls of the country's oldest farmer's market into a celebration of local cuisine and libations!  Chefs, winemakers and brewmasters will be offering tastes and sips of their latest concoctions for guests to enjoy.  

At 8:30, Pike Place becomes dance central as The Dudley Manlove Quartet kicks off a night of dancing under the stars.

All proceeds support the work of the Pike Market Medical Clinic, Senior Center, Child Care & Preschool and the Downtown Food Bank – vital services utilized by thousands of Seattle’s low-income and elderly residents.
